This was my second race in the bangers this year. It was in the baby bangers under 1300. The car i had to race with was a vauxhal astra estate. i did have doughts about the car as most people turned up capri's, sierra's, sunny's etc. Many people thought i was going to get wasted in a couple of laps but they were wrong! First race i managed to do 1 lap and the car cut out on the top bend and left me facing oncoming traffic!
Second race i wasnt going to go out as i couldn't be bothered but in the end people twisted my arm and i went out! In the early stages of the race there was a big crash and someone had to be cut out of their car but luckly they weren't too injured. The race got back underway and i started to work my way up through the field like a rocket! in a couple of laps i was in the lead and the gap was getting bigger by the lap! until i planted a metro into the wall and we went back to yellows again! i cleared the car and away we went again with myself still leading. Once again i shot away and made a good half to 3/4 of a lap lead and then 3 laps till the end then.......... BANG!!! engine was out of water n heat siezed! I think my words were something like oh dear and darn it! lol
